The Girls with Goals Foundation is dedicated to fostering positive mindsets and uniting adolescent girls from urban areas who share a common vision. Our programs cultivate self-motivation, personal accountability, leadership skills, and collaborative teamwork. Our ultimate objective is to positively impact their life paths and empower them to achieve a more promising future.
We do this by working with various educational institutions to provide mentorship programs. These programs are designed to build their self-esteem and nurture traits and values that will turn them into positive forces for change in the world.

Mission Statement
Girls with Goals Foundation aims to bring together like-minded adolescent girls from urban communities to promote self-motivation, personal responsibility, leadership, and teamwork. We look to challenge their minds and encourage them to explore innovative ideas to become future entrepreneurs and ensure academic and professional success.

Girls with Goals Foundation was formed to allow each young girl/lady the opportunity to Live in their Purpose, to promote Leadership, Confidence, Resilience, and Empowerment
Lisa Michelle Church, Realtor with Long and Foster Real Estate and Founder of Girls with Goals Foundation. Strongly believe in possessing the necessary Core Values of Life which to me are Honesty, Commitment, Courage, Perseverance, Respect and Service to others and because I hold these values so near and dear to me I was able to teach and instill them in my three children.
It has always been on my heart to open up a center for young girls to allow them to be creative outside of the box. I began mentoring young girls with my daughter who is an Assistant Principal just to help her out but then it started to tugged on my heart to do more. I then decided to go out on Faith and start my own mentoring organization.
We are now mentoring two elementary schools and one high school. The girls are so engaging. It melts my heart when they say that they like being a part of Girls with Goals Foundation. I know that the work that we do with these young girls will have a great impact on them and they will one day become Change Makers themselves and that would mean the world to me.

Board Members
Ciara Stamper, GWGF Board Member and secretary, has a passion for empowering the youth. She serves as a public school Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach. Ciara received her undergraduate degree in English from VCU and her Masters of Education from Liberty University. Her entrepreneurial spirit has led her to opening a professional writing business (Write Away Docs, LLC) and a Photo Booth rental company (Forever Stamped Memories, LLC)
Ashley Church, Board Member, received her undergraduate degree from Virginia State University and her Masters of Science degree in Business Management with a concentration in Project Management from Strayer University. She joined Verizon in 2011 where she is currently employed as a Sr. Manager of Program/Project Management.
Ashley is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.

Tarshita Bryant, Board Member, received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Norfolk State University. She went on to further her education at Regent University, where she received her Masters of Science degree in Nursing Leadership and Management. She has been employed at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center for 18 years a a Oncology RN.
Brittney Church-Green, Board Member, serves as an elementary principal for Virginia Beach City Public Schools. She holds an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Teaching degree from North Central University, a Master of Science degree in Education and Administration from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia State University. As a school leader, Brittney is committed to creating an educational environment that inspires curiosity, creativity, and love for learning for every student. She is passionate about empowering students to become future-ready.
Lakia Godfrey, Board Member, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Delaware State University as well as her Master of Science degree in Sport Management. She is a Sr. Credentialing Specialist at ASM Research.
She's a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and serves as a Youth track coach for Track 757.
Shay Grant, Board Member, received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information System from Hampton University. She has over 20 years experience in the technology and project management field. She brings a vast array of expertise to GWGF. She is enthusiastic about fostering opportunities for young ladies in the Hampton Roads area. She believes that once girls tap into their goals, they become unstoppable forces!
